The Municipality of Labico, also thanks to the good work done by Giulia Lorenzon e Giuseppina Bilenci, consolidates its commitment to gender policies, presenting for the fourth consecutive year the Gender Balance, a political rather than technical tool, capable of reading the needs of citizenship - women and men - in depth and assessing the effectiveness of public policies.

The Labico experience was recognised at today's meeting as good practice at national level, also thanks to the contribution of ANCI Lazio. A recognition reaffirmed by Simona Mulè, Coordinator of the Consulta Donne Amministratrici di ANCI Lazio (ANCI Lazio Women Administrators Council), who announced her intention to propose the Labicano model at national level as well: an important result for the municipality and the entire territory.

During the day, speakers included Eleonora Mattia, who referred to the challenges still open on the equal opportunities front in the Lazio Region, and Ines Marcelli, who brought a moving testimony and a direct contribution to the realisation of the Gender Balance.

Special thanks were also given to Angela Palazzi e Viola Saracini for the careful and attentive literary set-up that accompanied the presentation.

Particularly significant is the appeal of Argia Simone in support of the Maria Manciocco Anti-Violence Centre of Labico: a commitment shared by all participants. The choral response of the community, with numerous donations collected during the initiative, testifies to a growing sensitivity towards the fight against gender-based violence and support for the realities that are its daily presidium.

Labico demonstrates, once again, how innovative tools and concrete policies can become replicable examples, capable of creating value for the entire region.
