Anci Lazio

European and cooperation projects

Sustainable cities, resilient communities, connected territories

ANCI Lazio actively participates in European and international programmes that promote innovation, sustainability, inclusion and cooperation between territories. Through its collaboration with public bodies, universities and organisations from all over Europe and beyond, the Association contributes to developing new local governance practices, strengthening the administrative skills of municipalities and building networks for exchange and mutual learning. ANCI Lazio's European projects address issues that are central to the future of cities: from sustainable urban regeneration and the intelligent management of natural resources (URWAN), to sustainable mobility and the liveability of public spaces (Streets for Citizens), to energy transition and renewable communities (COMANAGE) and the prevention of gender-based violence (MARVOW 2.0). At the international level, initiatives such as GenerACTOR in Colombia and the IURC - International Urban and Regional Cooperation - exchange programmes have strengthened cooperation between Lazio and cities all over the world - from Calgary to Barranquilla, from Malaga to Santo Domingo - to share experiences of urban regeneration, participatory governance and sustainable development. Through these actions, ANCI Lazio consolidates its role as a bridge between Lazio's municipalities and the European and global dimension, fostering growth based on knowledge, innovation and collaboration.
