It will be held Wednesday 18 February, starting at 10:00 a.m., at the Press Room of the Chamber of Deputies in Via della Missione 4 in Rome, the press conference presenting the awareness-raising campaign and “participatory competition” for schools of all levels entitled “Tasting Life Together”.
Promoted by Women's APS, the initiative was created with the aim of learning about, addressing and overcoming eating disorders, encouraging a healthy and balanced relationship with food, body and emotions.
The project will involve students and teachers in an educational and cultural path aimed at promoting awareness, prevention and correct lifestyles, through training activities and a “participatory” competition dedicated to students from all over Italy, where everyone wins.
Because true victory is to participate. It is to get involved. It is to speak about these issues without shame in order to choose LIFE!
The press conference will be attended by authoritative representatives of institutions and the academic, health and association world: Hon. Paola Frassinetti, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Merit; Hon. Paolo Trancassini, Quaestor of the Chamber of Deputies; the Hon. Girolamo Cangiano, VII Commission for Culture, Education and Science of Montecitorio; the Hon. Students from the Institute will also be present, Tiziana Volpes, Honorary President Donna Donna Aps and Vitalia Scano (who) Moderating the meeting will be Nadia Accetti, Founder of the Associazione Donna Donna APS, a victim of violence and witness to the disease who has made it her mission to raise awareness among young people on these issues for over fifteen years.
“Tasting Life Together” - declares Nadia Accetti - is proposed as a multidisciplinary pathway bringing together schools, institutions, health professionals and associations to combat eating disorders, a phenomenon that is becoming increasingly widespread among young people. Through the direct involvement of students, in fact, the campaign aims to promote the culture of well-being, starting from the heart and emotions.
