The ANCI Lazio Training Camp concluded on June 5th in Ventotene, a three-day period of training and discussion that involved local administrators from across Lazio in a programme dedicated to the major transformations affecting territories and communities.

The concluding day opened with a reflection on the theme of sustainability and responsible governance through the meeting “A New Vision: Sustainable and Certified Municipality with SRG88088”.
Roberta Lombardi, from the Leonardo Ethical School, has presented the “Ethical and Sustainable Municipality” project, a pathway aimed at guiding local authorities towards increasingly transparent, responsible administrative models focused on the goals of Agenda 2030. This approach highlights good practices already present in the territories and promotes an integrated vision of local development.
Next, the debate focused on the relationship between Municipalities and Europe with the session “The Europe that is born in the Municipalities. Ventotene 2026: possible futures, living communities and the responsibility to be connectors”.
Through the interventions of Germana De Falco, senior expert in European policies and territorial cohesion, and Agostino Bultrini, The ANCI Research and Staff Skills Development Projects unit highlighted that local authorities represent the first level of building Europe, being tasked with transforming opportunities, resources, and visions into concrete projects for citizens.
The Training Camp concluded with the session titled “The Future Doesn't Wait, Administrators Embrace the Challenge of Change,” featuring contributions from Pierciro Galeone, Director General of IFEL, and the President of ANCI Lazio Daniele Sinibaldi.
Throughout the final meeting, the strategic role of local administrators in driving innovation and development processes in territories was reiterated, transforming expertise, vision, and project planning into concrete actions for the benefit of communities.
And so concludes a particularly intense edition of the ANCI Lazio Training Camp, which has confirmed Ventotene as a symbolic and privileged location for building a new administrative culture founded on training, institutional collaboration, and the ability to imagine the future of the territories.
