With the start of the new year, ANCI Lazio's activities are back in full swing, with an articulated programme of institutional meetings, territorial workshops, and specialised training courses for administrators and officials of local authorities in the region.
A calendar that confirms the Association's commitment to supporting Lazio municipalities in the processes of development, innovation and strengthening of administrative skills, in a particularly delicate phase for the implementation of public policies, strategic planning and the use of European resources.
Among the first scheduled appointments are three major events marking the start of activities, devoted respectively to European funds for local development, specialised training on investee companies, and generational impact assessment of municipal policies.

Rieti - 22 January | Training course on Participated Companies
📍 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Wednesday 22 January in Rieti will see the start of the first day of the training course on Participated Companies, which will consist of a total of three days of training.
The course is part of ANCI Lazio's specialised training activities and is aimed at administrators, managers and officials of local authorities, with the objective of providing concrete and up-to-date tools for the management, control and governance of investee companies.
The training course will address:
- the regulatory framework;
- governance models;
- control and monitoring obligations;
- responsibilities of member entities;
- the main operational criticalities and possible solutions.
An initiative designed to strengthen the skills of local authorities in a strategic area for the organisation and delivery of public services.

Viterbo - 23 January | “From Europe to the Territories”
📍 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
A meeting entitled “From Europe to Territories” will be held in Viterbo on Thursday 23 January, dedicated to the opportunities offered by European Union funds for local development.
The event will be attended by the Vice-President of the European Commission, Mr Raffaele Fitto,
who will speak on the topic of how to make the use of European resources more effective at territorial level, enhancing the role of municipalities as central actors in the programming and implementation of interventions.
The meeting represents an important opportunity for discussion between European institutions, local administrators and technicians, with the aim of
- deepen European strategies for the development of territories;
- Analysing instruments and modalities of access to EU funds;
- share good practices and replicable intervention models at local level.
A fundamental moment of dialogue to strengthen the link between Europe and the territories and support the planning capacity of municipalities.

Latina - 27 January | VIG Territorial Workshop
📍 10:30 a.m.
On Monday 27 January, the VIG territorial workshop - Generational Impact Assessment of Municipal SPDs - will be held in Latina.
The workshop meeting will be dedicated to the analysis of the generational impact of the Single Programming Documents (DUP), with the aim of understanding to what extent municipalities' planning choices affect different generations and how the effectiveness of public policies can be improved from an intergenerational perspective.
The workshop will provide a space for operational discussion for:
- Analysing DUPs from the perspective of generational impact;
- identify critical elements and good practices;
- strengthen the capacity of municipalities to plan more equitable and sustainable policies over time.
This initiative is part of the path of innovation of local policies promoted by ANCI Lazio, with a focus on the quality of planning and social sustainability of public decisions.

These first appointments mark the start of a path that will accompany Lazio municipalities in the coming months, confirming ANCI Lazio's role as an institutional, training, and operational reference point for local authorities.
