ANCI Lazio participated in the States General of Logistics in Lazio, the event promoted by the Region and hosted at the Lazio Innova headquarters, dedicated to new development strategies for regional mobility and the prospects offered by technological innovation in the logistics sector.

Among the topics of discussion: the use of drones for light transport, new infrastructure networks, urban freight distribution, the role of ports and intermodal nodes, the digitisation of supply chains and the opportunities arising from emerging technologies.

Representing the Association of Lazio Municipalities was President Daniele Sinibaldi, Mayor of Rieti, who in his speech recalled the importance of involving the territories in the construction of new regional strategies.

Light logistics using drones is also a great opportunity for inland areas, where the presence of small airports - as in the case of Rieti - can become a strength. It is essential that municipalities take an active part in the governance of logistics development processes., said Sinibaldi.

The President of ANCI Lazio thanked the Vice-President of the Lazio Region, Roberta Angelilli, for the invitation and for the attention shown towards the contribution of the territories, emphasising how the collaboration between local institutions, the Region and operators in the sector is decisive for building a modern, competitive and sustainable logistics system.

The meeting was attended by institutional representatives, companies, universities, research bodies and regional mobility stakeholders, with the aim of defining a shared vision of the sector's new needs and growth opportunities for Lazio.
