A delegation from ANCI Lazio, led by President Daniele Sinibaldi, today took part in the traditional 2nd June Parade along Via dei Fori Imperiali in Rome, on the occasion of the Republic Day celebrations.

As every year, hundreds of mayors from all over Italy paraded with their tricolour sashes, a symbol of national unity and the fundamental role of municipalities in the democratic life of the country. The event was also attended by the President of the national ANCI, Gaetano Manfredi, along with representatives of institutions and local authorities.

«Participating in the 2nd June Parade along the Imperial Forums, alongside many Mayors, represents a great honour and a reason for profound institutional and personal pride,» declared the President of ANCI Lazio and Mayor of Rieti, Daniele Sinibaldi.

On such a significant day, we feel deep gratitude towards our Armed Forces, guardians of security, freedom, and democracy, who with professionalism, dedication, and a spirit of service honour the country every day, both within and beyond national borders.

The presence of the ANCI Lazio delegation at the Republic Day Parade confirms the central role of municipalities in building social cohesion and promoting the democratic values that are the foundation of the Italian Republic, reaffirming the link between national institutions and local communities represented daily by mayors.
