The new webpage “Religious Urban Itineraries in Lazio”, a digital platform designed to enhance and make easily accessible the main places of spirituality and the cultural heritage of the region's capitals, was presented yesterday at the Lazio Region's headquarters.

The event was attended by the President of the Region, Francesco Rocca, and the Councillor for Tourism, Sport and the Environment, Elena Palazzo, who illustrated the objectives of the initiative and its contribution to the tourism and cultural promotion of the region. Also present was the General Director of ANCI Lazio, Federico Palla, This testifies to the Association's focus on projects capable of enhancing the heritage of municipalities and strengthening the role of territories in tourism development policies.

Speakers included the Reverend Monsignor Graziano Borgonovo, Undersecretary of the Dicastery for Evangelisation, and Alessandro Cochi, President of CONI Lazio.

The new page gathers thematic itineraries dedicated to religious places, urban spaces and green areas in the five Lazio regional capitals:
Rome, Viterbo, Rieti, Frosinone and Latina, offering routes designed for citizens, tourists and pilgrims. Through digital maps, useful information and dedicated content, the platform offers a simple and immediate tool to discover the places that symbolise the spirituality and history of the territory.
The initiative is part of the Region's broader commitment to promoting sustainable and integrated tourism, capable of linking culture, the environment and local identity, while at the same time favouring the enhancement of urban centres and the communities that inhabit them.
