Today, at the San Paolo Auditorium in Frosinone and live online, the first day of the course “Artificial Intelligence applied to Municipalities”.”, promoted by ANCI Lazio together with the Administrative Gazette of the Italian Republic Foundation and the Innovation Bridge Foundation.
The event recorded a extraordinary participation, with over 300 municipal administrators, managers and employees, present both in the room and connected remotely. This result confirms the growing attention of local authorities to digital innovation and the skills needed to meet the challenges of contemporary public administration.
The course - divided into two training days and accredited with 3 UIPA credits - offered a clear and concrete overview of the possible applications of Artificial Intelligence in the daily management of offices: data analysis, process automation, decision support, and simplification of services for citizens and businesses.
President Sinibaldi's speech
Opening the proceedings, the President of ANCI Lazio Daniele Sinibaldi emphasised the strategic value of training for local authorities:
«Digital transformation is not a distant horizon: it is a daily necessity. Municipalities are the first garrison of communities and must be able to count on up-to-date skills and innovative tools. Today's great participation shows that Lazio's administrators have the desire to grow, to invest in themselves and to improve the services offered to citizens. ANCI Lazio will continue to support this path with determination and responsibility.»
The President also emphasised how collaboration between institutions, foundations and local realities is crucial to building an education ecosystem capable of responding to the real needs of municipalities.
Magliocchetti: “Anci Lazio an important partner for municipalities”
Also speaking on behalf of the Executive Board was Manuel Magliocchetti, a member of the Anci Lazio Executive with responsibility for communication, who expressed satisfaction with the participation recorded on the first day:
«When I hear talk of artificial intelligence, I admit, I am always a little afraid. But training makes a difference: it allows us to really understand how these technologies can become a useful and concrete tool for the work of our municipalities. Once again, Anci Lazio confirms that it is at the heart of training services for our members: an important sign of our commitment to remain at their side’.», he stated.
The day was also attended by Enrico Michetti, Director of the Gazzetta Amministrativa della Repubblica Italiana Foundation, who brought the Foundation's contribution to the training work and activities for local authorities.
