Daniele Sinibaldi attended the ANCI National Council together with the Mayor of Latina Matilde Celentano and to the Mayor of Marino Stefano Cecchi. At the centre of the work was a wide-ranging and participative discussion on the topics of resources for municipalities, the budget law, security and the associative budget.
The debate took place in a constructive atmosphere, with many speeches highlighting the need to ensure greater financial stability for local authorities and to strengthen ANCI's role as an instrument of representation and support for territories.
During the Council meeting, the issue of revising the distribution of membership fees between the national ANCI and the regional ANCI was also raised, in light of the growing commitment and expansion of activities carried out at the territorial level. The regional ANCIs asked for the launch of a shared path to update the system, tackling in an organic way the issue of the allocation of resources, ISTAT adjustments, arrears, and the strengthening of support to realities of smaller demographic size, with the aim of making the ANCI system fairer, more efficient, and capable of responding to the needs of municipalities.
The National Council thus confirms itself as a central moment of confrontation and political-institutional direction, in which to strengthen the unity of the system of local autonomies and build shared responses to the challenges awaiting the territories.
