(Rome, 27 May 2026) The press conference to present the ANCI Lazio 2026 Training Camp, the association's annual training event, was held today in the ANCI Conference Room. This year, for its seventh edition, the event returns to Ventotene from 3 to 5 June. The President attended the meeting Daniele Sinibaldi, the Secretary-General Luca Masi, the Deputy Vice-President Riccardo Varone e Danilo Moriero, Head of Communications and Press Office Manager at ANCI.
The Training Camp returns to its historic venue and its original format: a place for training, sharing best practices, and in-depth learning, looking towards Europe, cohesion policies, and the work carried out by Anci Lazio in recent years in collaboration with the Lazio Region. «Returning to Ventotene means returning to a place dear to all of us and to the original form of the Training Camp as a place for training and exchange,» stressed Deputy Vice-President Riccardo Varone, expressing the will of the President and the entire Executive Board.
The Secretary General Luca Masi outlined the operational methods and programme for the Training Camp, which will open with a significant innovation: the launch of an academic training course, a Master's degree developed through an agreement with the G.A.R.I. Foundation, an opportunity for specialisation for local administrators. This will be followed, on the first day, by sessions dedicated to the DEFR and its new features, cohesion policies, and a post-exhibition, an agora curated by ANCI Lazio experts and designers, open to the public and all those interested in ANCI Lazio's project history.
The second day will begin with a reflection on social policies and the opportunities offered by the transformation of ATS into consortia. The Lazio Region and Federsanità will participate, with a testimony from the AIPES consortium, one of the best regional practices. The day will continue with a workshop-style, technical-humanistic approach, reflecting not only on how to do but on how to be, meaning focusing on the development of skills that allow us to approach technological change, beyond the usual technical aspects.
An innovative experiment that will be coordinated by Danilo Moriero, Head of Communications and Chief Press Officer for ANCI, who, in his speech, emphasised how the Regional Associations are going through a new phase, taking on a more significant role than in the past, within the framework of renewed collaboration between national and local levels. In this context, Anci Lazio is among the regional associations that operate synergistically and proactively. He then focused on what his contribution to the Anci Lazio Training Camp will be, centred on the themes of technology, human capital, and the values of humanism to be preserved in the face of ongoing transformations.
On the third and final day, we will explore sustainability as a model of governance, with a presentation by the Scuola Etica Leonardo, and reflect on the future of European programming with Germana De Falco, a programming expert who will offer a critical perspective on the challenges that lie ahead.
The concluding remarks will be given by Pierciro Galeone, General Director of IFEL, and Daniele Sinibaldi, President of ANCI Lazio.
The press conference was concluded by the President of ANCI Lazio, Daniele Sinibaldi, who wished to highlight the significance of this edition: a return to Ventotene which is above all a moment of full training, enriched by the presence of the leaders of ANCI National and the executives of the Lazio Region. An opportunity where, thanks to the collaboration with the G.A.R.I. Foundation, local administrators will be able to develop and acquire specific skills recognised at the end of the course. Sinibaldi also thanked the mayor of Pofi, Angelo Mattoccia, for his commitment, which made the free participation of under-35s possible, also thanks to the contribution of the Lazio Region. Looking ahead to the coming months, Sinibaldi announced an event of particular institutional importance: in September, the regional assembly of Anci Lazio will be held in Sperlonga, linked to the national assembly of Regional Secretaries and Presidents, which for the first time in its history will be hosted in Lazio.
The President thanked the Prefect of Latina and the President of the Province of Latina for accepting the invitation to Ventotene, where they will be present on 3 June for the institutional opening of the Training Camp, in which over 80 administrators from Lazio are participating.
