ANCI Lazio, through the Consultative Committee of Small Municipalities, is promoting the national institutional conference “New energy policies for the future of small municipalities”, scheduled for Tuesday 15 September 2026, at 16:00, at the Theatre of Roccagorga (LT). A significant national event dedicated to discussing the prospects of the energy transition and the strategic role that small municipalities are called upon to play in the country's sustainable development.
The initiative, strongly advocated by the Coordinator of the ANCI Lazio Council of Small Municipalities, Lubiana Restaini, was created with the aim of establishing a space for dialogue between institutions, local administrators and experts on the topics of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), energy programming and planning (EPP) and new energy policies, by highlighting the contribution of local areas and administrations. Confirming the importance of the event will be the presence of the Minister for the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, who will take part in the proceedings by bringing the Government’s perspective on the main challenges in the energy sector. This contribution lends further prestige to an initiative designed to encourage practical dialogue between the national level and local administrations.
During the conference, the President of ANCI Lazio, Daniele Sinibaldi, will also speak to reiterate the Association's role in supporting municipalities—particularly smaller towns—in tackling innovation and energy transition processes, by fostering institutional dialogue and the spread of tools and opportunities for local authorities. The conference will also see the participation of representatives from institutions, parliament, public administrations and administrative justice, offering an opportunity for in-depth discussion and debate on the country's energy outlook and the repercussions for local communities.
ANCI Lazio invites mayors, administrators, municipal technicians, professionals and interested citizens to participate in this important institutional event, which represents an opportunity for discussion and sharing on central themes for the future of small municipalities.
