“Regione Lazio in Comune” second appointment of the cycle

Today, at the Tirreno Hall of the Lazio Region, the second event in the “Regione Lazio in Comune” series was held. This is a programme of dialogue and discussion promoted by the Lazio Region in collaboration with ANCI Lazio, designed to strengthen the relationship between regional institutions and local authorities.
The meeting, dedicated to the themes of public works and infrastructure, housing policies and the sea, culture, equal opportunities, youth policies, tourism, sport and the environment, represented an important moment for discussion with the mayors and administrators of the territory on the main tools, calls for proposals and projects introduced by the Lazio Region.
The proceedings were opened by the President of the Lazio Region, Francesco Rocca, who reiterated the importance of building constant dialogue with the Municipalities, valuing the role of local administrations in the planning and implementation of territorial policies.

Over the course of the day, the following spoke:
- Manuela Rinaldi, Councillor for Public Works, Reconstruction Policies, Roads and Infrastructure, who presented the E.L.I.O.S. notice for mountain municipalities — with over €4.6 million for road maintenance and public lighting — and the proposed law on the Regional Integrated Water System, aimed at rationalising water use, reducing waste, and protecting the region's water resources.
- Pasquale Ciacciarelli, Councillor for Housing Policies, Social Housing, Maritime Policies and Civil Protection, who presented a package of measures to address the housing emergency: 44 million euros for the recovery and requalification of public residential buildings, 30 million for ATER housing in the Quarticciolo district and a 20 million euro Fund established with CDP for new financial instruments to support Municipalities.
- Simona Baldassarre, Councillor for Culture, Equal Opportunities, Youth Policies and Family, who outlined the main measures of her department for 2025 spending and 2026 planning: the public notice “Young Ideas” for youth policies; the "Impresa Rosa" programme and an allocation of €150,000 for gender equality in STEM subjects in the area of equal opportunities; €2.17 million for family centres; and €20.6 million to support live performances and cultural promotion.
- Elena Palazzo, Councillor for Tourism, Environment, Sport, Climate Change, Energy Transition and Sustainability, who presented the Three-Year Tourism Plan 2025-2027 — with particular attention to the Municipalities throughout the Region — and a series of environmental and sporting measures: a funding of €1 million for electric charging stations in Municipalities, €4.3 million for sports facilities in Municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants through the "Sport in Comune" announcement, and €60 million from the ERDF 2021-2027 for the energy efficiency of public buildings.
The ANCI Lazio was represented by Vice-President Antonio Di Rocco, who brought the President's greetings Daniele Sinibaldi, highlighting the value of operational and ongoing comparison between the Region and the Municipalities to jointly address the challenges affecting the territories.
The meeting was moderated by Mauro Lombardo, member of the ANCI Lazio Executive Council and Mayor of the Municipality of Guidonia Montecelio, who led the discussion between local administrators and institutional representatives, fostering a concrete dialogue on the themes at the heart of the event.
The initiative saw broad participation from mayors and local administrators in Lazio, confirming interest in a path that aims to strengthen institutional collaboration and make the relationship between the Region and local authorities ever more effective.
The “Regione Lazio in Comune” series will continue with further thematic events dedicated to the various strategic sectors for the development of the regional territory.
