ANCI Lazio participated today in the presentation of the DEKRA Road Safety Report 2025, one of the leading European events dedicated to the topic of safe and sustainable mobility.
This year's edition paid particular attention to the relationship between human factor, artificial intelligence and Vision Zero, the international strategy aimed at zero fatalities and serious injuries on the roads.

Representing ANCI Lazio was the President and Mayor of Rieti, Daniele Sinibaldi, invited to bring the perspective of municipalities and local administrations, key players in urban mobility management and accident reduction.

Sinibaldi: “Road safety is a duty to our communities”

In his speech, President Sinibaldi emphasised the central role of local authorities:

«As local administrators we have a responsibility to promote a culture of safety involving motorists, motorcyclists, cyclists and pedestrians. It is a daily commitment that must start in the cities, because it is in the cities that driving behaviour can really be influenced.»

Sinibaldi recalled how the DEKRA Report 2025 highlights the concrete contribution of municipalities in building a more modern mobility:

«The Report confirms how municipalities are at the forefront of building safer, more modern and sustainable mobility. The progress shows that investing in efficient infrastructure, constant maintenance and smart technologies is the right way to get closer to Vision Zero.»

The President of ANCI Lazio then reiterated the importance of cooperation between institutions and operators in the sector:

«As ANCI Lazio, we believe that cooperation between local administrations, government and operators in the sector is decisive in order to permanently reduce the number of victims and injured on our roads. Road safety is first and foremost a duty to our communities.»
