This important opportunity for exchange took place ten years after the seismic events that struck Marche, Lazio, Umbria and Abruzzo in 2016. The initiative brought together representatives of the Government, the Regions, the local authorities and the institutions involved in the reconstruction process, with the aim of reviewing the achievements made, the remaining critical issues and the development prospects of the affected communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The participation of Lazio was significant, represented by the General Secretary of ANCI Lazio, Luca Masi, present on behalf of the Association and the President Daniele Sinibaldi, Mayor of Rieti, and by the Councilor for Reconstruction Policies of the Lazio Region, Manuela Rinaldi.<\/strong> A presence that confirms the attention of regional institutions and the system of local autonomies towards a path that directly concerns numerous municipalities in the Lazio region, starting with those of the province of Rieti, deeply affected by the 2016 earthquake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting, held at the school gym \u201cSpecchio del Tempo\u201d in Borgo di Arquata del Tronto, began with the institutional greetings of the Mayor of Arquata del Tronto, Michele Franchi, and the Mayor of Ascoli Piceno and President of ANCI Marche, Marco Fioravanti. At the heart of the proceedings was the topic \u201cThe institutional chain for the recovery of the territories\u201d, divided into two sessions dedicated to the role of local autonomies and regional administrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The confrontation involved <strong>the representatives of the regional ANCI of the four areas affected by the earthquake<\/strong> and their respective regional institutions. For Lazio, the Councilor Manuela Rinaldi intervened together with the President of the Marche Region Francesco Acquaroli, the President of the Abruzzo Region Marco Marsilio and the President of the Umbria Region Stefania Proietti. This institutional dialogue placed the need to continue the reconstruction work at the center, through coordination between the different levels of government, while also valuing the role of the municipalities as the main points of reference for local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Particular importance was given to the interventions of the Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies, Nello Musumeci, and the Special Commissioner for the Reconstruction of the 2016 Central Italy Earthquake, Guido Castelli.<\/strong> The presence of the Minister, to whom the conclusions of the meeting were entrusted, confirmed the Government\u2019s focus on completing the reconstruction and ensuring the safety of the territories. The contribution of Commissioner Castelli highlighted the importance of continuing the interventions already initiated, accelerating the reconstruction process, and supporting the economic and social recovery of the affected communities. These were two key institutional contributions to reaffirm the need for a shared and constant commitment to support the territories affected by the eruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ten years after the earthquake, the recovery process in Central Italy continues to require administrative continuity, adequate resources, and strong collaboration between the Government, the Regions, and the Municipalities.
