Rome, October 4, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 ANCI Lazio took part in the FIABA DAY 2026<\/strong>, The National Day dedicated to the removal of architectural barriers, now in its 24th edition and celebrated on October 4th in Piazza Colonna in Rome. The event, organized in collaboration with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, put concrete solutions at the center of the public debate to ensure truly universal mobility and accessibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Association was represented by Marina Battisti, Deputy Vice President of ANCI Lazio<\/strong>, who, during his speech, emphasized the value of collaboration between institutions, associations, the Third Sector and the law enforcement authorities to build communities that are increasingly accessible and inclusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00abIt was a very exciting day \u2013 said Battisti \u2013. To see associations, the Third Sector, institutions and the Law Enforcement Authorities united with a common goal, that of breaking down architectural barriers, is impressive and leaves a mark.\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In her speech, the Deputy Vice President also recalled the Memorandum of Understanding and the commitment of ANCI Lazio to ensure that accessibility issues are put into practical application in the territories, including in smaller municipal settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00abI wanted to recall the memorandum of understanding that we signed and the great attention of President Sinibaldi and the entire board \u2013 continued Battisti \u2013 so that ANCI Lazio can also support small municipalities in disseminating and putting into practice those good practices that can truly change, in practice, the lives of so many people\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For ANCI Lazio<\/strong>, Overcoming architectural barriers is not only an infrastructure issue, but an essential condition to guarantee to all citizens the full right to mobility, participation and access to public spaces and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Participation in FIABADAY therefore confirms the Association\u2019s willingness to continue working alongside local administrations, promoting collaboration, sharing of experiences, and tools that help transform accessibility into a structural element of municipal policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEven good practice, when shared and replicated, can produce concrete change in people\u2019s lives.
