The celebratory event for the eighty years since the vote for women<\/strong>, promoted by the Department for Equal Opportunities of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. An institutional moment of reflection and remembrance dedicated to one of the most significant achievements in Republican history.<\/p>\n\n\n

During the initiative, it was recalled how 1946 represents a founding date for Italian democracy, with the entry of women into the active and passive electoral body and the start of a path of political participation that has contributed decisively to the growth of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n

Opening the event, held at the Fencing Academy - House of Arms, was the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni <\/strong>who in his speech emphasised how women's right to vote marked \u201ca decisive step in the consolidation of our democracy<\/em>\u201d, highlighting the importance of continuing to work towards full participation of women in institutional and social life.<\/p>\n\n\n

Numerous Lazio administrators attended the event. For ANCI Lazio, the coordinator of the Council of Women Administrators, Simona Mul\u00e9<\/strong>, deputy coordinator, Carmela Cassetta<\/strong>, together with many of the members of the Consulta and the members of the Anci Lazio Executive, the Mayor of Latina, Matilde Celentano<\/strong> and Marino's, Stefano Cecchi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
